When we first discussed the design with him, we had only a vague idea of what we wanted. Simple, honest and beautiful.When we went to see the first "mock-up" the vague idea had somehow become "Our Gate". He had understood instinctively what we were looking for and had translated that into a beautiful work of art.Every tiny piece is exactly right. From the slight change of angle on some of the upright bars, the tactile finials, the gentle curve of the upper horizontal, the half moon angles on the joints, the beautiful fish that guards the padlock. And the most perfect workmanship and finish. Matthew is a fantastic artist, an incredibly skilful blacksmith and one of the most amazing people we have been lucky enough to meet.Our Gate is stunning and we love it to bits.Mo & Gareth, Victoria Drive, Bognor Regis At short notice Matthew created a bespoke memorial flower for us.
