Pre-School Screening Announced for Flora CUSD #35If your child is already enrolled in Pre-K or was scheduled to be screened in March, you do not need to register to receive a screening packet. We will send packets to those signed up for the March screening. To be screened, your child must be at least 3-years-old and not 5-years-old on or before September 1st.Due to the current COVID -19 situation and safety requirements, we will be completing Pre-K screening remotely. We are asking parents to complete the online google form or call the number below to receive a screening packet. Go to floraschools.com to complete the google form or call (618) 662-6502 and leave a message with the following information: child s name, age, birthday, parent(s) name, phone number, and address. Pleasecomplete the google form or call no later than Friday, July 17th.On Monday, July 20th, we will have a Pre-K Screening Packet Distribution at Flora Elementary School in the Pre-K circle drive from 4-7 P.M. The entire packet will need to be filled out along with the following documentation included: a copy of proof of income, certified birth certificate, and child social security number. If the following are up-to-date, please include them when returning the packet: immunization record, lead screening, and current physical date (after 8/15/2019). There will be a secure mailbox in front of the school by the main doors for parents to return the packet and required documentation. Please return the completed packets to the mailbox no later than Friday, July 24th. Flora High School Wall of Honor ApplicationThe Student Council of FHS has designed a Wall of Honor for veterans that graduated from Flora High School. The nameplates on the wall will feature the name, graduation year, and branch of service for the veteran.Applications can be filled outby the veterans themselves or by someone of relation. They are available either electronically or can be printed and submitted to Flora High School where there are also forms in the main office.Flora CUSD #35 has created a Former Educator Hall of Fame for former educators in the Flora school district.Nominations can be printed and submitted to the Flora Unit Office, mailed to 630 Vincennes, Flora, IL 62839, or e-mailed to jhackney@floraschools.com.Flora CUSD #35 is now on Facebook.
