Specialist Plant Nursery in the Heart of the Thames Valley Founded by Paul Barney, Edulis is tucked away in a walled garden in the Thames Valley near Pangbourne. Inspired by Bill Mollison in the 80s, the nursery grows an eclectic mix of rare plants, including a large selection of unusual edible plants as well as many rare shady plants. Most plants in the nursery are hardy and relatively easy to grow. Paul has searched and selected a good range of edible plants not seen in your local garden centre. View Plant Nursery A wonderful long flowering allium producing masses of white drumstick flowers. Robust clone collected from Mizoram, India. White flowered with strong erect flower stems. Still flowering December with us. Leaves used in Asian cooking. This garden worthy clone is named after my daughter.Deciduous fern native to China, Japan and Korea. Metallic grey fronds suffused with reddish hues. Shade or part-shade. This is a large form of the Japanese Painted Fern. Dramatic foliage. Discovered by Plant Delights in the 90s. Said to have some Athyrium filix-femina in its genes.A graceful woodlander with cream flowers in early spring and deeply-cut leaves. Edible.
