MA was employed by the CIA between 1982 and 1989, and in March 2001, provided highly classified information to MSS officers during three days of meetings in Hong Kong. He then sought employment with the FBI as a contract linguist and provided classified information he was able to access between 2004 and 2010. He, along with a relative who was also a former CIA intelligence officer, provided classified information that included CIA methods as well as the identities of CIA personnel and human assets. MA was arrested after receiving payment from an undercover FBI employee at meetings in which MA confirmed his activities for MSS. The following week, the arrest of Peter DEBBINS, a former U.S. Green Beret captain, was announced.
