The Blue Mallard restaurant in Burscough Wharf offers relaxed canalside fine dining with stunning waterfront views. In recent years, the Lancashire region has developed a unique reputation for locally-produced, award-winning food and dining experiences among restaurateurs and food lovers alike. The Blue Mallard, opened in 2011 and mentioned in the Michelin Guide, has always proudly been at the heart of this conversation.

After an 18-month long search across the UK for the perfect location to open up their own restaurant, Edyta Krauze and Fabrice Lavacry took over The Blue Mallard in February 2019. “When we came to Burscough Wharf, we immediately fell in love with it. We knew this was the right place for us.”, says Edyta. Since then, they have put their own signature on the modern British/European menu.

“We want to create a special experience for people”, Fabrice explains. “Something they will remember for years to come, something they will come back for again and again.” From seasonal menus and specials, to jazz nights and personal fine-dining experiences, come and share in the magic of The Blue Mallard yourself.

Just to let everyone know about a change to our booking terms and conditions. We now ask for a credit card details when we take a table reservation online or a telephone booking. This is to guarantee your reservation and no charges are made to the card for deposit purposes at this point. We have a 48 hour cancellation policy in place now and in the event of a no show or a late cancellation then a charge of £10 per person will be levied and charged to the card provided. 

Unfortunately this has become necessary due to an increase in what has become known as spread booking across hospitality venues and a dramatic increase in the number of no shows for restaurants.
