Space Update Inc and its partner corporation MTPE Inc (DBA e-Planetarium ) are corporations established in 1999, that create real-time displays of Earth and space science data to inform and educate the public. We have three main areas of focus:educational software, games and activities (Space Update )planetarium shows and kiosks (e-Planetarium )Discovery Dome portable planetarium dome systems (e-Planetarium )Our software and shows have been experienced by over 2 million users worldwide, and we are constantly working on new features and planetarium show ideas to continue to bring the latest science results to the public. We have installed 200+ Discovery Domes in over 29 countries, and 29 U.S. states, making us the second largest seller of portable domes, software, and shows. Information about all of our products and shows can be found in the four main sections of our website.Original funding for our projects came from NASA public outreach grants and cooperative agreements. The Space Update software was originally funded by NASA/Goddard's Digital Library Technology Project. Development of Earth Update software was funded by ccoperative agreement with NASA's Office of Earth Science. Development of Space Weather software was initially funded by the IMAGE mission and is now updated and maintained as an ourtreach arm of the Magnetospheric Multiscale Mission. Space Update, Inc. is a founding member of the Federation of Earth Science Information Partners (ESIP) - a network of researchers and associated groups that collects, interprets and develops applications for satellite-generated Earth observation information. Our Discovery Dome hardware and software was developed under NASA cooperative agreement under the REASoN program.E-Planetarium , along with Space Update , is a division of MTPE, Inc., a woman-owned small business.
