Plein Air Painting in Cape May PT 605CM

Join Joe Sweeney for an outdoor, in-person, plein air painting retreat in beautiful Cape May, New Jersey! Experience small town hospitality while painting Cape May Point, the Cove with sweeping vistas, Cape May Lighthouse, and Sunset Beach. Instruction includes tips on choosing a prime location, reading the weather and light at a particular time of day, and setting up a landscape palette. Instruction is geared towards oil, acrylic and pastel, but experienced watercolorists are welcome. Health-safety measures, including masking and social-distancing, will be practiced.

CE Policy Guide Fall 2021
The Philadelphia Sketch Club is hosting its 161st Anniversary Gala on Saturday, October 16, 2021, from 6 PM to 10 PM. One of the highlights of the event is that we will be honoring three of the nations top artists, John Ennis, Jane Golden and James Toogood. We will be presenting each with the Philadelphia Sketch Club Medal for their significant achievements in the visual arts. This will be a fun and highly visible event. It will bring together our members, patrons, supporters, friends, sponsors and neighbors. It will feature a live art auction, silent auction, deluxe hors doeuvres, cocktails and music. It is critical that this event be a success as it is a significant fundraising vehicle for the Club.
As always, the Sketch Club is concerned for the safety for all visitors to the club. We ask that all gala attendees be vaccinated and adhere to recommended masking.
