You will need a device that has a camera and microphone enabled and the use of one of the following browsers: Firefox, Chrome, Safari or Edge. Patients who do not have the proper devices or adequate internet service may be eligible for a phone only visit. Please contact our office at 231-487-6575 to verify if your appointment type can be conducted via telehealth and to schedule a virtual appointment. The process is very simple. It is a HIPAA compliant and secure platform. There are no software downloads or registrations required. We will obtain your e-mail address and contact you via e-mail message when it is time to start the visit. Prior to the visit time, we ask that you enable the camera and microphone, check your internet connection and gather the following measurements (if you have the proper equipment at home): weight, temperature and blood pressure. You will receive an email labelled as “Telemedicine meeting invitation” from Dr. Linehan when it is time to start the visit and you just need to open the message and click on the link in the middle of the page. This will take you to a welcome page where you will enter your name and click the check in tab. You will receive a reminder to enable your camera and then you are placed in the “waiting room”. Dr. Linehan will start the appointment once he receives notification that you have signed in for the visit.
