imaging) and new therapeutic/biomaterial strategies : identification of new targets, development of new molecules, validated by clinical trials.The unit is organised into 6 collaborative teams affiliated to 3 different ITMO (National Institutes) PMN, Technologies for Health, Genetics, and to 2 Inserm scientific sections (CSS3 and CSS6).More than 240 collaborators working together among which 119 have permanent positions.15 full time researchers77 university-hospital affiliated faculty24 permanent technical assistants and 8 non-permanent technical assistants36 PhD students14 postdoctoral fellows25 undergraduatesOur translational human and technological skills include clinical databases and assays, translational clinical investigations (carotid stenosis, aneurysms and dissections of the ascending aorta, Biocore), human tissue and cell biobanks, numerous experimental models of disease (transgenic mice, rats, rabbits), new methods in molecular and cell biology (proteomics, genetics epigenetics, protein engineering, flow cytometry), chemistry of biopolymers, elaboration of biomaterials and nanosystems, and imaging technologies in small animals and in humans
