05/23/09At this point, Callisto has made his brief appearance in February and since then we have not heard anything yet again. Numerous attempts were made to contact him and all being unsuccessful. We hope that Callisto is alright and that nothing has happened to him that would cause such a dramatic cutoff. However, ConfusingBoat has decided to completely recreate FM/GZ from scratch as it was not possible to deconstruct Callisto's code. Because of this, Callisto's game will now be re-considered as GZ2, and CB's game will forever be referred to as Frontman (FM). This wiki will stay open for those that wish to use the information herein to play GZ2.Thanks,The GZWiki Team02/17/09We have previously reported that we were having issues getting a hold of our programmer, Callisto2002. If you have been to the forums recently you're aware that he has returned with news of continuing the project. This is just some of the recent happenings in our community. We contacted the lawyers who issued the C D, and we were told that as long as we keep as far away from the Guitar Hero theme as possible, we should be okay. However when we tried to get a response from Activision, they simply ignored us. We waited a very long time for some sort of reply which never came. So as of today, downloads are back up until we are given a reason to take them down.As it turns out we're going to stick with the default mod for a while. In the future we are planning on changing the meters and perhaps adding some new features. But as of right now, we're having problems getting a hold of our programmer (Callisto2002), so these things will be put off until we can contact him.Thanks,The FMWiki Team10/29/08After 10 days of inactivity, we're back. Many changes will be coming as we begin to work on rolling out a new name and a new look. Recently our creator Callisto has informed us that he has not abandoned the project, it has just been on hold to give him time to focus on his real life job. He expects to get started again on the project as we near Christmas. In the meantime we will be focusing on doing what we can for the community. The website is currently down and many of the game related packs have been removed. We received a C D order from Activision asking us to stop with the game. We are obviously not going to do that without giving some serious thought. The discussion has been moved to allow the FM staff to discuss what further actions need to be taken. Please understand that this is not the beginning of the end, nor is it a reason to stop working on projects.
