A company driven by their passion for travel and adventure, we designed a lighting scheme to match their ambition in this open plan office space, boasting a spacious breakout area their new office is buzzing and the phones ringing!

Anchoring the Victoria Gate development in the heart of town, John Lewis pulled out all the stops to ensure this store is the talk of the town.
The intricate building design is a sight to behold, and allowing lots of natural daylight in this space feels even more part of town, almost as if the city was built around the store!

Not exactly one from the catalogue, Waitrose at Harrow Weald features a concealed grid plaster ceiling with varying ceiling heights.
EDGE Lighting were required to find a retrofit solution to allow the existing ceiling to be retained, involving site surveys, innovative engineering and a lighting design to suit.

This Unique design features two parallel runs of LED boards to four varieties of length, set in a v-shape to provide a wide spread of light output.

This famous London side street is a popular location for tourists and London’s working population alike, with coffee for fuel well ingrained in our lifestyle!
With a ceiling height of 2.5m, the focus from our client was to limit luminaires encroaching far below the ceiling, whilst retaining an adjustable and flexible lighting system. Our solution was using track and spots, specifically the Traqer Mini spotlights, which can be repositioned anywhere along the track and with their 360° rotation they can be easily aimed.

The King’s Cross area has undergone an extensive redevelopment in recent years and part of this is the conversion of a grade II listed goods shed behind Kings Cross station into a food retail store and cookery school by Waitrose.
From a lighting design point of view, the challenges with the site were manyfold.

Situated atop Grand Central Station in Birmingham, this John Lewis Department Store has a unique location. Spanning 170,000 ft of selling space, this is one of John Lewis’ biggest yet, and right in the centre of Birmingham it is a statement of intent from the retail giant, and the lighting had to match this ethos.

August 2012 was a breakthrough month for Edge Lighting, supplying our first project using only LED light source technology, at a point in the ... August 2012 was a breakthrough month for Edge Lighting, supplying our first project using only LED light source technology, at a point in the market where the longevity and quality was often questioned of LEDs.5 years on and we can look back at Waitrose in Stratford Upon Avon, one of the first stores in UK to be fully lit with LED.Light level readings show these have depreciated only 7% in 5 years running for 22,000 hours, and still looks as fresh as when it was first installed. This has surpassed all expectations and we are so pleased to be able to reward Waitrose on their willingness to look to the future and invest sensibly in their properties.Many other retailers that transitioned to using LEDs from other manufacturers at a similar time have either had to have their LED lighting replaced because it had not lasted, or look dated because they used poor quality components.We would like to congratulate Philips OEM whom supplied our LED modules and drivers on this project for the quality of the components provided, and with the great advancements in LED technology since 2012 we are confident this is just the beginning of a great portfolio of completed projects with a lasting impression.
