The Coastal Resilience Center has received funding to support two postdoctoral research fellow positions for up to 24 months. The positions will support the Center’s work with the DHS RAPID Apex Program and will be located in Chapel Hill, NC, and/or Washington, DC.

Now considered one of the costliest and most violent coastal disasters in the history of the United States, the effects of Hurricane Katrina were felt along the entire Gulf coast from Florida to Texas. The devastating outcome of this event was the genesis of the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate’s Coastal Hazards Center of Excellence (CHC).
