(excluding weekends/bank holidays).BLOOD PRESSURE MACHINE - Thursday, April 05, 2018The Surgery has a blood pressure machine situated in the back corridor beside the Practice Nurse. Patients can use the machine themselves and get a printout of their blood pressure at any time of the day. Please feel free to avail of this service. Please leave a record of your blood pressure reading with the Receptionist at the front desk so that we can keep your medical records up to date. If you have an urgent medical issue that needs to be assessed, we will attempt to see you as soon as possible but 'Routine' issues will have to wait for the next available appointment. Tramways Medical Centre is committed to delivering high quality health care to its patients. Our Doctors, Nurses and all other Support Staff are dedicated to offering a professional service. The Surgery website will help to keep our patients informed with news and information about our Practice.SURGERY OPENING TIMESThe surgery is open Monday and Friday 8.00am to 5.30pm, Tuesday and Thursday 8.30am to 5.30pm and Wednesday 8.00am to 12.30pm. Telephone lines are open from 8.30am.Please note: emergencies only will be dealt with between 12.30pm and 1.30pm. We close most bank holidays; please watch for information at the time. The surgery also closes every Wednesday afternoon. Please contact the surgery for the emergency on-call number on those afternoons. ALL PATIENTS MUST NOW NOMINATE A CHOSEN PHARMACY TO SEND THEIR PRESCRIPTIONS TO. PRESCRIPTIONS WILL NO LONGER BE HELD AT THE DESK. All prescription turnaround times will now be 72 working hours (remember this does not include weekend/public holidays). Please ensure your prescription is ordered in good time, as we will no longer be issuing 'emergency prescriptions'. You will be asked to avail of an emergency supply at your local pharmacy if appropriate - you will be charged for this service.Checking that your prescriptions are ready? Please contact your chosen pharmacy. We will no longer look for prescriptions before the 72 hour turnaround time.Many thanks for your patience as we try to improve access for all our patients. Repeat PrescriptionsTo make the telephone lines more available to patients, order prescriptions that are not repeats and ask general enquiries, we are asking all patients to use the following methods of ordering REPEAT prescriptions: Use our online service(patients can register for this service at front reception, please bring Photographic Identification with you) Use our 24 HR dedicated repeat prescription line - TEL: 028 90 837875 and leave your request and it will be dealt with by Reception Staff (excluding bank holidays) Use the re-order slip and leave in at the surgery Send your request in by post Ask your local chemist to leave in your repeat request Fax your request to the Surgery on 028 90 839111Test ResultsNo results will be given out on a Wednesday and test results will no longer be given out at the Reception Desk, due to confidentiality.Results of various tests from the local hospitals usually arrive late morning. These have to be seen by the doctors and then filed.
