That's why our American Legion Post is different, We are here for you, not the other way around.Together we can make a differenceEligibility ​Recent Congressional legislation has expanded the war time eligibility period for membership in The American Legion.​The LEGION Act declares that the United States has been in a state of war since Dec. 7, 1941 so anyone who has served federal active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces since then is eligible for membership, so long as they're still serving honorably or were honorably discharged. We are a diverse and welcoming service - oriented Post, and one of the fastest growing and most respected Posts on Long Island. If you are looking for a different kind of Veterans service organization, look no further. This is not your grandfather's American Legion Post.
