April 2021marks the 6th anniversary of the 2015 earthquake that shook Nepal to its core. Now Nepal has been hit by another deadly wave of Covid-19 pandemic. The second wave of COVID-19 has confirmed our worst fears - an invisible earthquake that has struck Nepal and crippled the countrys already vulnerable public health and economy.

In response to this threat, last year we launched theCovid Nepal Diaspora Platform to build and support healthcare capacity in Nepal. This year, we launched a collective diaspora petition campaign - the Open Letter to the White House - and a Covid Second Wave fundraiser to help deliver critical life-saving oxygen and food supplies to save lives!

We have a track-record of transparency and we are committed to maintaining an open book of our cumulative finances and projects in near real-time. Anyone can view the list of donors, total funds raised and funds disbursed at anytime on our website.

Nepal Rising (Daayitwa US) is a global collaborative campaign organized for providing relief, rebuilding, and resilience efforts in Nepal. Through local and global partnerships, this campaign provides a common platform to share ideas, raise funds, and coordinate volunteers towards a common purpose of building resilient communities in Nepal.
