My love of dairy goats came about a little differently than most it all started with a friend bringing me a sample of goat milk one day. I had never tried goat milk , but once Idid I knew goats were in my immediate future. It was not long after acquiring my first pair of goats that I realized what a true joy they are. I now can't imagine not having them in my life.
Doe Lakegoats are very dairy, stylish, and correct. Our goal is to produce a well-balanced, quality animal that exhibits structural correctness, breed character, strength, temperament and milks as well as shows.
We normally attend several shows a year though out the state of Florida. In 2012 we began participation in ADGA liner appraisal program. We hope begin participation in the DHIR program within the next year or two.
Our goats are raisedon top quality feed with a mixture of peanut, alfalfa and grass hays. All goats have free choice access tominerals, salt and bicarbonate. We also maintain aroutine schedule for vaccinations, hoof care and CAE testing.
