Culture Unbound Culture Unbound: Journal of Current Cultural Research is an academic journal for border-crossing cultural research, including cultural studies as well as other interdisciplinary and transnational currents. It serves as a forum with a wider scope than existing journals for various subfields of cultural research and is globally open to articles from all areas in this rich field. Culture Unbound is published digitally in Open Access. All articles and thematic sessions are freely available under Volumes. Culture Unbound uses double-blind peer-review. All submissions should include an anonymised version of the manuscript, which following preliminary review by the editorial team, is reviewed by two referees who remain anonymous to the author. The review process normally takes between two and six months. Since it was launched in June 2009, in addition to independent articles from the wide field of cultural research, Culture Unbound has published thematic sections on particularly interesting and relevant issues. These are edited by specially invited guest editors who contribute with a unique insight into the latest developments within their fields of research. Culture Unbound is based at two vigorous Link ping University units that provide a unique Swedish profile, building new bridges between regional and global research traditions: The Advanced Cultural Studies Institute of Sweden (ACSIS), with interdisciplinary transnational exchange. The Department of Culture Studies (Tema Q), with interdisciplinary research and PhD education. Culture Unbound is hosted byLink ping University Electronic Press. Initial support has been granted by theBank of Sweden Tercentenary Foundation(Stiftelsen Riksbankens Jubileumsfond), and annual funding comes from Link ping University'sFaculty of Arts and Sciences, the Swedish Research Counciland theJoint Committee for Nordic Research Councils for the Humanities and the Social SciencesThe editors welcome proposals for articles, reviews and thematic topics.
