When something is as important as your business website, you need a dedicated professional on your side. We hand code each website that we create instead of using something like WordPress, or worse, Wix or any other all-in-one template. Templates like WordPress create thousands of lines of unnecessary code that slows down the performance of your website.

Why is that important? The target load time for your website is 5 seconds. If it takes longer than 7 seconds to load, more than half of your visitors will leave. When seconds matter, you need a professional to make sure each page of your website is optimized correctly.

How do you know if your website has been built correctly? The first thing you can do is look at the front page of your website and view the source code. That will tell you how many lines of code are being used. If you see thousands of lines of code at your website, it's a red flag.

After you look at the source code, you need to take a look at how your website is displayed on ALL devices. Look at the spacing around images, notice the navigation and make sure it doesn't cover up content when it's open on mobile devices, make sure columns aren't too wide or too narrow making your content hard to read and make sure nothing looks out of place. For each mistake that you find, there are many more that you haven't seen.

There's actually a very simple tool that you can use that allows you to look at your website on many different mobile devices, tablets, laptops and desktop computers. Below is a before and after example of a website that we recently re-imagined. Technically, both websites are exactly the same because they have links to the business email, provide the business phone number and describe the services the business offers. However, if you saw these websites side-by-side, which one would you go to if you needed their service?
