Apostleship of the Cross

The Apostleship of the Crossis an association of Cristians in the Church who, moved by the Holy Spirit, follow Jesus Christ priest and victim, contemplative and solidary, and who, in communion with Jesus, collaborate with His salvific mission.

The Apostleship of the Cross is open to all People of God: lay persons, religious, and ordained ministers.

Concepción Cabrera was inspired by God to begin the Apostleship of the Cross. It was founded on May 3, 1895 by Archbishop Ramón Ibarra y González. Pope Leo XIII approved the Apostleship of the Cross on May 25, 1898

It isthe first of the five Works of the Cross.The others are the Sisters of the Cross of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Covenant of Love with the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Fraternity of Christ the Priest, and the Missionaries of the Holy Spirit.

Christ the Priest Region

The Apostleship of the Cross is organized by Regions:

1. Christ the Priest Region
2. Province of Mexico Region
3.Felix de Jesus Region
4. Conchita Cabrera de Armida Region

All groups of the Apostleship of the Cross in the United States are part of the Christ the Priest Region.

In order to facilitate the coordination and animation of the Region, they are divided into Areas. Currently there are three areas:

Pope Francis has proclaimed a Special Year of St. Joseph@, beginning on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception 2020 and extending the same feast in 2021.

In these reflections we will endeavor to dig a bit deeper on his person based on what the Word of God tells us in the Gospels.
