Alberta enters Stage 2 of relaunch More businesses and services can reopen, and limits have increased for some gatherings and events. Isolation requirements Isolation is mandatory if you have COVID-19 symptoms, were exposed to a confirmed case, or returned from international travel. Symptoms and testing Testing is now available to all Albertans with a COVID-19 symptom, including cough, fever, shortness of breath, runny nose or sore throat. Hospitalization rates remain low with 44 people in hospital, six of whom are in intensive care. In total, 6,830 Albertans have recovered from COVID-19. Strong testing data shows active COVID-19 cases in Alberta are lower than expected, meaning stage two of the relaunch strategy can safely begin on June 12, a week sooner than expected.
