The focus on service and kid's experience over fancy was something we appreciated. This was probably our 5th time staying at Severn lodge and the first since Covid pandemic. The place is spotless and the staff follow current rules to keep everybody safe. Dining at the restaurant was full of options to chose from and was very delicious.Staff super friendly and helpful and the resort is full of outdoor activities to enjoy.Will come back for sure I sent my daughter in law and three grandkids here for a much needed four day treat. And it was a treat. Staff is wonderful. Setting is gorgeous. Food terrific. Kids program excellent. Lots of waterfront activities. A wonderful holiday for kids and adults. They want to go again and soon. Thank you to everyone at Severn Lodge. We had an awesome 3 night stay at the lodge. The meals were gourmet and the staff were the most polite young people. I would definately reccommend this to anyone. It was like being in a Carribean Resort in Ontario. We had alot of fun using the water sports equipment and our room was fabulous. What a great place....you should be very proud to run an establishment such as this. Love it up here the clean air the tranquility of this lovely body of water (Gloucester pool) seeing the wildlife and going for hikes this truly is Gods country and at Severn lodge you get to experience all this and more. It's not the cheapest place, but everything - and I mean everything - was stellar. The property, buildings, lodging, food, activities and most especially the staff who made us feel so welcomed. We went during the off season and appreciated the quieter pace of the resort. I will and do recommend this place for anyone looking for a great time in Muskoka. I attended a wedding at Severn Lodge. It was beautiful. The accommodations were outstanding and the staff very attentive. Staff seems to go out of their way to be helpful... place was clean and appeared to be well looked after. Except for the trails which I would not recommend. Perfect family getaway. Lots of activities for kids, Kids Camp for some fun with friends. Great food, swimming pool and lots of water activities. Nightly entertainment. Amazing staff. Gorgeous place. The rooms are cute. The food is amazing. Attended a wedding there and it was the most gorgeous ceremony I’ve been to Beautiful property. Superbbbbbb food. Helpful staff. Great water activities. Cottage was nice though washroom a bit rundown. We had a nice time, food good, people so nice. One thing I would recommend to you now, as a result of the water, make your pool bigger so more can take advantage of the pool. It is a good place to come with your kids, you have time alone and time with them. The staff is great with them. Enjoyed myself on a Muskoka chair, though I could not do much due to an injury prior to going. You might also want to spend the money at the beginning of the summer to have a bull dozer come in and clean it out. There is nothing like Muskoka water. Great vacation. Kids loved it. Lots of fun. It's a very well-established professionally-run Resort. We got married hereThere are no words to describe our time with Severn Lodge. From day we felt like family & the second we met Melissa we knew we wanted this resort to be apart of our wedding day. The venue is loaded with exceptionally kind, helpful and cheerful staff. Each of the staff members always had a smile & was always so helpful. Our wedding day was perfect thanks to this resort. The rooms are large, there are countless rooms to choose from. They were clean & if we ever needed anything they were a phone call away. Melissa, the ultimate day of coordinator. Just as you're stressed for the big day, she calms you down. She notes every detail you want & is always quick to respond to emails. Chef, THE best food we've ever had. Our guests were blown away at the unique, fresh taste of our buffet dinner. We ate there about 5 separate occasions & were never let down. The price, all fair! We paid less for our resort wedding than friends did for one night. This is the place to be, pet friendly (which is a must for us), affordable, memorable and we've made friends for life. Our guests have mentioned they would be going back as well. Thank you Severn Lodge for making our day perfect. Amazing view of the lake, and very attentive staff. Enjoyed every day of being there. A great place to vacation. A little pricey but you get what you pay for. Went to a nieces wedding here. It was beautiful. Staff was marvelous. Food was catered from within. Very well cared for landscaping and property. Dock was huge. All the linens and towels were new or nearly new. A very pleasant stay you are not going to forget. If you are thinking of staying here go for it. Highly recommend it The Lodge went out of their way to make our dinner and birthday celebrations something special. The beef was superb and the pickerel supreme. Excellent place for stay with family. Little bit noisy sometimes due to close railway,, but everything else is perfect. You won't be disappointed! Not a cheap place. But its worth every penny. Beautiful peaceful n tranquil!!!! Wit Awesome Food 10 ☆ My family has been coming here for years. This is not a "party" place but is probably one of the most relaxing Muskoka experiences I have ever had. I should also note that I have been here many times throughout the years and it never ceases to leave me feeling relaxed and clear-headed. Nature is all around you here, kayaks and canoes as well as other water craft are readily available for guests. I always feel inspired looking out onto the lake. We had a great time and we highly recommend for families with young children.The activities and programing for the kids in the Kids Club were great. We were also very happy with the quality and variety of the meal options and the cleanliness of the modest accommodations.If you are looking for a standard room with great lakefront views, I highly recommend the Watersedge units. The screened porches on the water are a great spot to relax after a busy day on the resort. We were driving to Hotel and got in the traffic, it’s after 8 pm for the check in and dinner we were late, but the front desk by our request left the food for us...Thank you so much... It’s an amazing place to stay with the whole family. The stuff is super friendly. And I would recommended to anyone visit Severn Lodge! Severn Lodge is the best vacation we hve ever had. Definitely on of Canada's hidden gems. From the accommodation, to the food, to the friendly staff, to the water sports.......you could not ask for more. The staff is over the top when it comes to service. This was a 2 day R&R for me and I couldn't have chosen better. Do yourself a huge favour and make time to treat yourself. You will not be disappointed. Thanks to everyone at the lodge. In May we went to Severn Lodge for the long weekend, and actually worked with Melissa from the lodge to plan an elopement wedding. The resort was perfect for us -- rustic, family-oriented (we have a 2 year old), and we stayed in the end cottage so that we could cook ourselves or eat at the restaurant (in honesty we mostly ate at the restaurant though).There was SO much to do, you are never bored here. Staff were so friendly and accommodating all weekend. We got married the same weekend as the royal wedding, but really the staff made it seem like we were the royalty.Would definitely recommend this place for a fun-filled family weekend spot. Amazing experience! Ryan in the dining room is absolutely amazing. He is so personable and genuine, really made our experience terrific. As well, Shelby who is in charge of water rentals came and helped us even though it was her day off and was so kind about it! Staff really are just amazing! Internet was a little slow and from cabins 101-104 there is a bit of a rocky patch that makes it hard for people with disabilities/balance issues to make it across unattended. However, there is so much to do here! In a perfect location that I feel like I’m getting away from it all! Rooms are very nice, standard cottage feel, but slightly larger than other ones I’ve stayed in! Thank you for a great family trip!! :) Great location, the staff is amazing! Ryan is the best server I've ever experienced with a laugh/ smile and charm that brightens the room! The server on our first day was a little cold /robotic but maybe he was new and our group a little forward and he may not be used to that! Cabins 101-104 are a little hard to access for persons with a disability as there a gap from walkway to cabins about 10-15 feet of uneven rock but for regular bipedals it's no problem! I suggest maybe an easy path. But that was a great experience This is our second visit, and we've returned because of the great location, food, and entertainment for all ages. As I noted in a previous review, some of the buildings clearly need a little maintenance (eg: cabin doors in rough shape not closing properly), but there's some sign of improvements since our last visit two years ago. Kids program is great, although on the Victoria Day weekend there was no staff supervision in the toddler room; disappointing for our 3-year-old whose older sister was busy with the older kids' full day of activities.
