Periwinkle Preschool offers a home-away-from-home environment for children aged three to five. Our aim is to ferry your little one in a warm, loving boat across the sea from home to school, making each child’s transition a gentle, happy experience. Periwinkle has a play-based program that values the importance of self-initiated play, artistic work, and household activities to meet the needs of this active and imitative stage of childhood. We also provide a full food program, providing wholesome, nutritious meals for breakfast snack, lunch and afternoon tea, as well as a gardening focus at the school.At Periwinkle, our daily rhythm explores the joyous and wondrous experience of the day, seasons, and special occasions through music, storytelling and family festival celebrations. The child is nourished and guided through their daily learning experiences in a calm, unhurried pace. The child who lives in such an atmosphere of love and warmth and who have around them truly good examples to imitate, are living in their proper element. We acknowledge the Arakwal Bundjalung people as the traditional custodians of the land on which Periwinkle stands.
