Global Health Equity Scholars Program The Global Health Equity Scholars Program is a 12-month research training fellowship at selected institutions in low-and-middle-income countries (LMIC). The GHES is one of six Fogarty Global Health programs andhas 44 partner LMIC institutions. The application cycle for 2021-2022 fellowships is now open. Applications are due by November 2, 2020. In addition, the Fulbright-Fellowship application cycle is now open. Applications are due by October 13, 2020 to the Fulbright. About 40% of the fellowships have been carried out in Africa, 32% in Asia, 24% in Latin America, and 4% in Eastern Europe.Of the US fellowships, 20% have been among under-represented minorities in the sciences. 122GHES alumni and fellowsIn fall 2020, there will be 110 alumni and 12 new fellows in the GHES. Our alumni collaborate with US and LMIC researchers and mentor incoming fellows.200+peer-reviewed publicationsOur alumni publish an average of 2 peer-reviewed publications after completion of their GHES fellowship.
