When my partner and I are going for a holiday to Disneyland Paris, we often watch Disney/Pixar movies or cartoons to get ourselves in the mood for our holiday. We usually start watching a movie/cartoon each day during the few weeks before the trip. We're doing it again this year and I thought I'd write down our list of movies/cartoons.

Some of the movies we're watching aren't strictly related to DLP, so I'll skip those out. The following movies/cartoons are those that are related to DLP somehow. I'll explain why I chose them, too.



Sleeping Beauty - This one should be pretty obvious! The wonderful Castle at DLP is Sleeping Beauty's Castle, after all!"Let's go to Disneyland Paris!" Sing along Songs - It's actually set in DLP and I remember watching this religiously before each trip as a child since it first came out.Alice in Wonderland - Two attractions are based on this movie; Alice's Curious Labyrinthand Mad Hatter's Tea Cups. If you've seen the movie, walking around the Labyrinth can be made ten times more awesome!Peter Pan - Again, watch Peter Pan to get in mood for Peter Pan's Flightbecause it's made of awesome! In addition, Adventureland has hints from the movie scattered all around.Aladdin - Continuing with Adventureland - The main area of the land has a distinctly Arabian feel and La Passage Enchante d'Aladdin is an amusing walk-through attraction. In addition, there's the Flying Carpets over Agrabahattraction in the Studios, too!Snow White and the Seven Dwarves - Yep, the slightly macabre Blanche Neige et les Sept Nainsride is something that can't be missed! Plus, the ride doesn't really give much of an insight into the movie so watching it makes the ride much more enjoyable!Pinocchio - Le Voyages de Pinocchio is another super scary ride for kids - watching the movie will help flesh out the details!Beauty and the Beast - Set in France, this movie really gets you in the mood for a French holiday! And, if you're visiting over the Christmas period, Belle's Christmas Villageis always a lovely place to visit!The Sword in the Stone - Watch the movie and then try to pull Excalibur out of the stone in front of the Fantasyland side of the castle!Toy Story 1-3 - This is a definite must see before DLP trips! There's Buzz Lightyear's Laser Blast and Woody's Roundup Village in Disneyland and there's the awesome Toy Story Playland at the Studios!Finding Nemo - There's the awesome Crush's Coasterin the Studios that make watching the movie a must!The Haunted Mansion - Despite not actually being the exact same story/ride as DLP's Phantom Manorthere are many elements that are similar to PM, making this movie well worth watching before DLP.20,0000 Leagues Under the Sea - Granted, it's an uber old live action movie that is impossible to find a copy of, the movie is awesome and it makes exploring the Nautilus in Discoveryland so much more fun!Tower of Terror - A quite obscure made-for-tv-movie that I've only seen once, but it's based on the story behind Studio's The Twilight Zone Tower of Terrorand, if you can find it, it's most definitely worth watching!Armageddon - Makes the Armageddon: Les Effets Speciauxa little more interesting!

I thought I'd think of topics I could talk about that are related to my personal experiences with Disney. Feel free to snag the idea and write about your Top Ten! Please leave a comment with a link so I can read yours, if you do!

My Top Ten Things I like to do when visiting a Disney Park:
Ride my favourite ride/s over and over.Wear my favourite Disney t-shirts, coats, hoodies, ears, bags etc.Take lots of photos.Eat at a different location each day/night.Carry my favourite plushie (either Shellie May or Pluto)Find Pluto and other characters for photos and autographs.Look at, and buy lots of, special park merchandise.Try something in the park that I've never experienced before.Send adorable postcards to friends and family.Buy pins of Pluto.
And, some things I like to do in certain parks:

At Disneyland Paris:
Have a "picnic" in the Videopolis Theatre and watch old Mickey cartoons.Watch "Animagique" and nom on food without getting caught.Meet Pluto or Mickey in the morning at the hotel and have a photo/autograph.Escape into "POTC" when it's cold and enjoy the smell of chlorine.Visit "Disney Village" in the evening and browse the shops/eat.Have an "eat in the hotel room" night where we buy food from the garage at "Santa Fe" and stay in to watch the Disney channel.Explore "Adventureland" to the max and get lost in the caves.Buy a lollipop and walk around the Castle.Watching the parade in the afternoon.Eating ice cream from the the Gibson Girl Ice cream Parlour.At Tokyo Disney Resort:BUY MERCHANDISE.Eat Churros and Milk Tea Popcorn.People watching.Become a complete Disney Fangirl.Eat at "Sailing Day" BuffetWatch "Legend of Mythica"Stalk Pluto.Make special, personalised merchandise.Walk around DisneySea at night and enjoy the views.Ride Journey to the Centre of the Earth.

Disneyland Paris Trip coming up!Hi Disney Guys and Gals!

Well, the time is almost here! I'm going to Disneyland Paris in just 18 days! I can't wait! I haven't been since my birthday last year, so it'll be a year exactly when we go on the 30th January! I'm so stoked about it - I really miss going to Disneyland! I really think it's a necessity to a good and happy life, haha!

What am I most excited about?

Duffy! Yes, that adorable bear has made his debut at DLP and I can't wait to take my Shellie May and meet and greet him!
Seeing the refurbishments! Yep, the park has been refurbed since I last went and I particularly can't wait to see the Castle and the Dragon beneath it!
Going to Cafe Mickey for my birthday!
Checking out the Princess Pavillion!
