His career began in the repair department of a major importer, where he worked for 6 years getting his professional training. He was in business for himself at 25 when he ran a retail-access guitar repair business for 30 years, wherein he was the Authorized Warranty Repair Service for Martin, Gibson, Fender, Takamine, Ovation, and Alvarez/Yairi. He invented the SoloEtte Travel Guitar in 1993. His innovative design landed him on CNN in 1994. Rossco was again on CNN in 1995 when Astronaut Chris Hadfield chose the SoloEtte as a gift between nations and took it up to the MIR Space Station as a gift to Russian Cosmonauts. Sharon Isbin, Department Head of Classical Guitar Studies at Julliard School of Music, endorsed the SoloEtte and told the world about Rossco’s invention. He was awarded a Trademark for the SoloEtte design, and while building 5,367 SoloEttes in Eugene, Oregon, with 10 employees, he simultaneously licensed the design to Aria Guitars whom made 25,000 of them and paid Rossco a royalty on each one.Learn more about Rossco and his latest design.
