The State Library of South Australia holds a rich collection of material relating to the work of world-renowned artist Joseph Stanislaus (Stan) Ostoja-Kotkowski,  a pioneer in the digital arts. His valuable artworks were at risk of being lost if action wasn’t taken, find out what we are doing to preserve this work for future generations. South Australia’s world-renowned cultural institutions will open their doors to cutting-edge digital creativity. To celebrate World Day for Audiovisual Heritage we are launching the collection of Clara Serena, a contralto opera singer, rich with audio content and much more. Years from now we’ll look back and want to know how the COVID-19 pandemic impacted our state, our communities and our families. Make your voice part of our archive by sharing your story on the Facebook page or by adding to the collection. The State Library has a significant and developing amount of specialist material relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people including the Mountford-Sheard Collection.People are advised that records will contain names and photographs of Aboriginal people who have since died, which may cause distress to their relatives; discretion should be used when accessing them. There is something for everyone to see and discover, from the largest indoor Christmas tree in Adelaide, to fascinating and fun displays of all things Christmas from the State Library’s collections.
