2022 Lara Food Wine Festival Not Running

It is with heavy hearts the organising committee of the Lara Food Wine Festival announce there will be no festival in 2022.

We have based our decision on the continuing social distancing requirements and COVID 19 restrictions. Whilst COVID 19 restrictions are easing, we are not able to make any firm arrangements at this stage.

Given the size of the event, we book our fabulous vendors, entertainment and infrastructure many months in advance. Unfortunately, even with restrictions easing, there are still many uncertainties with large events and we would not have time to make all the arrangements necessary to hold the festival.

Together with our fabulous sponsors, whom we thank very much for their support, we do hope to put on a great festival again in 2023.

Celebrity Chef - Frank Camorra

We are excited to announce our celebrity chef for 2020 is Frank Camorra.

Born in Barcelona, raised in Geelong, Frank is Australian food royalty.

2020 - WIN A Fabulous Foodie Holiday!

Every year the generous team at All Things Travel Lara donate an amazing travel prize to the festival. In 2020 the team are giving the winner of the prize the opportunity to dream up their own holiday. The winner will receive a travel voucher valued at $3,000! The voucher can be spent on accomodation, airfares, car hire tours and more! Dream big!

Donut Eating Competition

In 2020 we featured a Donut Eating Competition for the kids for the first time. Proudly sponsored by the local Lara Rod's Bakery.

You loved it so much we're doing it again. So get ready to enjoy all that doughy goodness.

Kids aged 8 - 12 can register on the day to compete in one of our many heats throughtout the day. Winners of each heat go into the grand final.

The overall winner receive lots of yummy Rod's Bakery donuts to take home.

Master Apprentice Cooking Competition

In our Master Apprentice Cooking Competitionleading local chefs team up with VET in School Culinary students from The Gordon. The chefs mentor and work with their student to compete against another Master Apprentice team. Our celebrity chef, Frank Camorra will help judge the competition.

The Gordon VET in School Culinary students hail from local secondary colleges.
