We offer the finest in small group wildlife and nature photography tours, workshops and safaris, both domestic and foreign. You can go on a tour or safari with a photo leader and just take pictures, or you can travel with us, two naturalists as well as photographers that will provide you with the information that explains what you are seeing and that gives meaning both to your photographs and to your experience. Last Update: August 28, 2020 Hoot Hollow Cookbook After 10 long years, and many promises to Joe that “yes, I’ll complete it next month”, I have finally completed my Hoot Hollow Cookbook. The cookbook has a hard cover, comb binder (for ease in opening to a page), and has tabbed dividers (with my images) for the different sections. The cookbook is full of recipes that I’ve used for our groups throughout the years with a special “The Best of Central PA” section highlighting recipes from my family and from our PA Dutch influenced area. My cookbook will make a great Christmas present and will offer you and your family days of new recipes to try. I’m very proud of my cookbook and I know that it will become part of your well-used library of family-favorite recipes. Ala Carte Shoots at Hoot Hollow! Photographers are going crazy not traveling, but we have a solution. Here at Hoot Hollow we are offering a variety of shoots and photo subjects. Right now we have our Ruby-throated Hummingbirds, as well as our resident Red-bellied and Downy Woodpeckers, and numerous songbirds, chipmunks, gray squirrels, macro subjects, and raccoons. Photographers can book a half-day session with hummingbirds (using our high speed flash setup); a full day afield with Joe in beautiful farm country and mountains; an evening session with wild Raccoons; or an afternoon in-studio with several venomous snakes. Soon we hope to be offering wild Flying Squirrels - gliding!, as well as leaping Gray Squirrels and Chipmunks, and, too soon for me, fall foliage. Many photographers opt for the whole package, but you can do Raccoons and Hummingbirds, Raccoons and a full day afield, or whatever! All you need is your camera and lenses -- we supply the electronic flash and set up the lighting for fantastic shots of Raccoons and Hummers, and snakes.
