Third and Fourth Generations Fred and Meaghan Frank continue the legacy of our founder. Dr. Konstantin Frank immigrated to New York in 1951 at the age of 52-years-old, with empty pockets and no knowledge of English, in the hope of creating a brighter future for his family. Armed with a Ph.D. in Viticulture and decades of experience managing vineyards, Dr. Konstantin Frank knew from his experience growing grapes in very cold climates that high quality wines could be made in New York. With plenty of opposition, Dr. Konstantin Frank pushed forward and planted the first Riesling, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir vines in the Finger Lakes revolutioning the Eastern United States. 60-plus years and Four Generations strong, we continue the pioneering spirit of our founder. For over Four Generations we have kept our commitment to our lifetime loyal fans. Our wine club is a great way to enjoy special perks and meet new friends with shared interests. In 1985, Willy Frank stunned the wine industry by releasing the first méthode champenoise sparkling wine made from vinifera grape varieties in the Finger Lakes. 35 years later we continue our excellence in sparkling wines.
