ArchivesACT ArchivesACT provides access to ACT Government records that are more than 20 years old. ArchivesACTFYSHWICK READING ROOMArchivesACT is pleased to be able to welcome back visitors to our Fyshwick reading room following our temporary closure due to COVID-19 health and safety measures. Some of our services have changed to be able to meet mandated restrictions. We still need to take precautions and limit the number of people in the reading room to protect the community and our staff.We are required to temperature test any researchers whose visit will extend beyond 30 minutes. Physical distancing measures and building capacity limits will apply. Visitors must use hand sanitiser and enter their name and contact phone number on a register when entering the reading room.You will still need to request records in advance and make a booking before you visit to view original records.Please do not visit the reading room if you are feeling unwell. We appreciate your understanding and support as we work towards a return to normal services. ArchivesACT was established in 2008 as a section of the Territory Records Office.The role of ArchivesACT is to facilitate access to the ACT Government archives. ArchivesACT are here to help you begin your research journey by providing finding guides, recommending relevant records and facilitating access to original material.
