Stenshuvud National Park In Sweden August 16, 2020 1:48 PM This Wednesday my sister and I visited Stenshuvud National Park here in Sweden. Stenshuvud National Park is located in southern Sweden in the east coast of Sk ne in Simrishamn. It is about 150 kilometers from N ttraby, where I live. So a perfect place to take a one day excursion to on this final week of my summer vacation.Below are some pictures and videos from my visit to Stenshuvud National Park in Sweden. View from the main entrance of the 400 hectares Stenshuvud National Park in Sweden. Our first stop on our chosen hike trail of 4 kilometres was this beautiful beach.Brave people. Lol! I felt the water with my fingers, but it was way too cold for me to feel like a swim. We are reminded of the coronavirus wherever we go. Signs like these were all over the park, which I think was a good thing. And it was no problem keeping the distance. Thumbs up!Beautiful landscape.A part of the trail was quite rocky. So I had to really concentrate on where I put my feet.A lighthouse along the rocky trail. An easier part of the trail, I still had to concentrate to keep my balance though. Hehe.Very tall trees! :-o A view of the hill we were about to climb. It was very steep! So we took a lot of breaks. But it was worth it! Magnificent view from one of the lookout points in the park.A panorama video view of one of the stunning lookout points in Stenshuvud National Park in Sweden.Luckily for us the other lookout point was only about 100 metres away.Another gorgeous view over the national park! This lookout point is located 97 metres over the sea and is the highest lookout point in Stenshuvud National Park.A panorama video of the view from the highest lookout point in Stenshuvud National Park in Sweden. We had a great day in Stenshuvud National Park in Sweden and I would definitely recommend going there for a visit. For more information in English about the park go to: Visit Skane. //A.LAdd comment to this post ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A Different Summer In Sweden August 11, 2020 2:31 PM It has been a different summer in Sweden this year, as I imagine it has been in many countries around the world. The coronavirus has had a huge impact on how I live my everyday life. But my loved ones and I have remained healthy so far, and for that I am very grateful. Hopefully a vaccine or a cure against the coronvirus will be available soon so we all can start living a bit more freely again. Because, like I said, it has been a different summer in Sweden this year - because of the coronavirus.Although Sweden has not closed down as much as many countries, we do have a lot of restrictions and recommendationes to follow. Many Swedish summer traditions and events have been cancelled this year. No leaf market or other summer markets have taken place, no traditional Midsummer celebration has occured and no travelling abroad on my part. Having said that, I have still enjoyed my summer at home. During my four week summer vacation, I have one week left, I have gotten a lot done around my house and in my garden. In fact, it has been quite nice and relaxing to just take each day as it comes. And this week my sister and I are going to take a couple of day trips to a beach and national park in Sk ne here in Sweden. Hopefully we will get good weather, the weather forecast looks good so far.So even though it has been a different summer in Sweden this year, it has been a good summer for me. And I have tried to uphold my usual summer traditions, but in a bit of a different way this year. Below are some phots of my different summer here at home in Sweden this year. :-)Persian Barbeque At My Mum'sPersian Barbeque. I love this! But I have not yet learned how to make it so when barbeque season comes it is my mum who is in charge of the Persian barbeque in our family. In the photo are Kabob Koobideh and Joojeh Kebab, a saffron flavoured chicken kebab (left) and a minced lamb meat kebab (right).A video from our persian barbeque, I just wish it was a smell video! Beacause that smells crazy amazing! Ready, set, EAT! To the right is rice made in a persian rice cooker which makes a hard, delicious crust around the rice when it is ready. My plate! :pBarbeque In My GardenThis year I bought this cute little mini grill, that I think looks like a UFO. Lol! Not that I have seen a UFO, but I imagine one would look similar to this grill. Hehe. Not as fancy as the persian chicken kebab, but I love chicken kebab in all forms. Sausages and hamburger are simple, but tastes a bit extra special when barbequed I think. Ice Cream In My GardenI love these moments! A cold, sweet ice cream on a hot summer day in my garden - bliss!Homemade LangosI usually eat my first lango of the year at our traditional leaf market here in Karlskrona, but because it was cancelled this year I decided to make some homemade langos instead.Crispy and cooling of a bit.My toppings were garlic butter, sour cream, grated cheese, shrimps, red onion and roe. Tasty, but not as tasty as the one I usually get at the leaf market. But it filled my langos craving for this summer. Midsummer Eve 2020 My Midsummer Eve was pretty much as usual. With pickled herring, new potatoes and sour cream with chives for lunch. And strawberry cake for dessert. One Midsummer Eve tradition we have in our family is to buy the strawberries for the Midsummer Eve cake on the leaf market. Because the leaf market always takes place on the day before Midsummer Eve. Of course there was no leaf market this year, so we, just like everyone else, had to buy our strawberries elsewhere. And the price for Swedish strawberries was at an all time high this year, 75!!! Swedish crowns per liter - which is $8,58. Normally the price is around half that around this time. The reason for the high price was not the coronvirus though, but the weather. But they can charge almost anything for strawberries just before Midsummer Eve, because strawberries on Midsummer Eve in Sweden is as holy as Donald Duck on Christmas Eve in Sweden.Home Projects I have wanted to paint this rusty pole in my backyard ever since I moved in five years ago. This year I finally got it done! Same here. I did not paint this though, I just washed it. Because eventually I plan to build a new porch.I even climbed up on my roof. Lol! To fix this leak, another thing I have been wanting to do for five years. Rain... We have had some sunny days here in Sweden this summer, but actually the month of July has been the coldest one i Sweden for 60 years. Not that that seemed to bother kitty there. He/she just sat out there in the rain like it was no biggie at all - just chillin'.My Flower Boat Now this I like! Those four plants really came to life in my flower boat this summer. :pSummer Walks In N ttraby I love my walks here in N ttraby! And I am probably not the only one, looking at this freeway. Feels like a rain forest.Funny tree.Ahh! My favourite spot on my walk! :p Crayfish Premiere This year's summer season is slowly coming to an end, which means crayfish premiere here in Sweden. So a few days ago my sister and I had our own little crayfish party. :p A Summer Greeting From Sweden :-) Here I am in my garden here in N ttraby in Sweden, where I have spent most of my summer and vacation this year. And although it has been a different summer in Sweden this year, I am very happy with it under the circumstances.I hope you all also have had a nice summer this year, despite the current status of the world.Take care of yourselves and each other out there! //A.LAdd comment to this post ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thesis rush is your choice when you're struggling with thesis.
