Welcome to the PalosVerdesHighSchoolMusic Department!Here you can explore the many different ensembles offered at the school, such as Orchestra,Red Tide Regiment Marching Band,and Jazz I and II.You will also find information regarding the Palos Verdes High School Tri-M Music HonorSociety and AP Music Theory class.Classes offered: 0 Period Orchestra and Advanced Orchestra 2nd Period PE Band and Concert Band(includes Marching Band, Drumline and Colorguard) 3rd Period Music Theory AP and Music Appreciation 4th Period Jazz Band II 5th Period Jazz Band I To audition and register for any classes, please contact Ms Parkinson at [email protected]All PVHS Music students should be on Google. When logging on and completing class activities, you need to use your PVPUSD email address. Please familiarize yourselves with both Google Classroom and Google Meets. You'll be spending a lot of time on those websites. Music Theory AP students will be given access to the UC Scout site for homework and instruction. You will also be given a textbook and workbook from the PVHS library when you check out your books for the school year. Lastly, you will need to purchase the Barron's Music Theory AP 4th edition. It's the latest edition.
