And what do I find when I get back in town? Goooorgeous weather. Feels like I never left Spain. :DBasically my friend and I did exactly nothing for three and a half days except loll around on various beaches, crash a pool party at a friend of a friend's place and eat lots of good food (and ridiculous, probably unhealthy amounts of steak, but oh, was it goooood). In payment for the awesome time, though, I did lose my purse somewhere along the line between the plane and getting our baggage at Birmingham airport on the return trip, which was a bitch (and I seriously have no idea how I managed it) but I've cancelled all my cards and there wasn't anything important in there, and I only had about five pounds in change in it anyway, so it's all good. Current plans for the week: finally, finally go to see Star Trek on Thursday (being as I am one of the last people in the whole of the internets to see it); on Friday get tickets to go see Muse in Birmingham in November - I've never seen them live before so I'm pretty excited; WRITE MOAR FIC.Currently I am hideously burnt attractively bronzed, relaxed and utterly disinclined to do any of the work that I need to catch up on, so, dear flisties, how have you been? The rest of the film was alright, bar some epic plothole fail (though nothing that I really noticed until thinking about it afterwards). It's not a brilliant film but it's decent enough. The most important thing I took away from it - film trailers, namely 'Public Enemies': JOHNNY DEPP AND CHRISTIAN BALE FACE-OFF, THERE IS NO PART OF THAT THAT IS NOT AWESOME. OR HOT. I am going to see that film if it's the last thing I do. And Star Trek. And the new Terminator film that's coming out, because again, Christian Bale. Not that I'm shallow or anything...Also I should probably let you guys know that I'm basically going to be on a semi-hiatus for the next 6 weeks, because this term has a killer workload and for the moment it's taking literally all my time just to keep up with deadlines and strive vainly for the semblance of a life (and, for the most part, fail). Thus fandom participation will be sporadic for a while, and also I FAIL AT ANSWERING COMMENTS, SORRY! It basically turned out to be all about fellatio and gay sex in Catullus with an added helping of possible sparrow euphemisms ('passer', Latin for 'sparrow' is theorised to have also been a slang term for penis). Fortunately the dumplings (well, they came out more as a sort of... biscuity thing, but let's not nitpick) were still edible. Therefore: sugar high and uncontrollable giggle fits with fridge_monkey. I went out clothes shopping for the first time in a long time and managed to find the two most gorgeous dresses known to man. This was awesome. My mum also owed me a belated nineteenth birthday present, so she bought them for me. This was even more awesome, and I spent an inordinate amount of time prancing gleefully around in changing rooms. One of the dresses has this lovely close-fitting corset-ish bodice-y top (marvel at my descriptive prowess) that does amazing, godly things to my figure. I it so much. Also, somehow I now seem to be able to fit into a (UK) size 10. How this happened I do not know, but I am not complaining.So that was all of the good, and then I came home to find to my surprise and delight that I had just been set Latin unseen translation homework, due in for 6.00 on Sunday. I have exams on Thursday and all of Friday. Term does not even start until Monday. I do not approve of this fuckery. Oh, sweet holiday, farewell.Anyway, how much do I love that DW lets me have up to 200 icons? And that I can upload 43 of them at one time? Very, very much. I did try to tell my brain that no, really, I do not need 15 different icons for any single character, no matter how well Arthur lends himself to suggestive captions; my brain politely disagreed. So now I have 135 icons. They are shiny. I think I have an unhealthy addiction.I think I'm going to try importing my LJ over soon; I'll probably keep it private and then figure out how many of my old entries I want hanging round on DW (and how many I can read without cringing at my adolescent wangst) at some later date when I'm feeling less lazy.
