The new head coach for Marion Giants football is a familiar face: James Bell, who served as an assistant coach under Coach Craig Chambers, is stepping into the top spot. Bell steps into the role immediately, as high school athletics re-open July 6 under the guidance of the IHSAA and local, state, and national health Marion athletics will again be using FinalForms, an online system that will help us boost compliance and safety for our student-athletes. FinalForms allows you to complete and sign forms from your computer, tablet, or mobile device. You may log in any time to create an account or update information on file for your student-athlete, including Marion High School volleyball team workouts/conditioning will start July 7 at Bill Green Arena. Workouts will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to noon. Wednesdays will be conditioning days, 10 a.m. to noon. If a student has a physical on file with the school dated after 04/01/2019, the student s parent/guardian may choose Marion High School head football coach Craig Chambers has resigned as the Giants’ head football coach to return to coaching in Indianapolis. Chambers came from Indianapolis to Marion in 2015. He led a rebuilding period for the Giants football team, taking them to some of the most successful seasons in team history. Chambers’ resignation from MARION GIANTS SUMMER WORKOUTS The official start for fall sports is July 31st for girls’ golf and August 3rd the remainder of the fall sports teams. Those students that do not attend July workouts may still try out for teams on July 31st and/or August 3rd.                   All Marion High School girls interested in playing golf for the Lady Giants should contact Coach Jerry Freshwater at jfreshwater@marion.k12.in.us Golf practice begins on July 31.  Click here for important information from the Athletic Department regarding COVID-19 guidance Calling all Marion Giant Alumni baseball players!!! Come join in the fun and help raise money for the Marion Giant Baseball program! The Marion Giants Alumni Baseball game is scheduled to be played on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at the Art Caldwell baseball field beginning at 1:00 pm. There will be a Home Run Derby followed Congratulations to Marion Giant Wrestlers Taylor Garriott and Jekwan Williams for being named IHSWCA Academic All-State Honorable Mention, Taylor on the Sr Team (3.35 GPA) and Jekwan on the Jr Team (3.25 GPA). #GFND #WRESTLING #ACADEMIC Great job Taylor and Jekwan!!
