Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra - anything goes every month

Sunday, 31 December 2017 Winner of CHNC challenge extra for December 2017 and a sad goodbye
Thank you so much for all your lovely festive entries during December - so many wonderful entries.

This is a sad post because there will be no more challenges on this blog, as I explained in the December post.

The good news is that my CHNC challenges will continue weekly and also my monthly Patterned paperones will also continue - I hope to see you all there.

Unfortunately, there could only be one winner of the December challenge and this is the result of using random.org:

Number 264: Margaret A (granmargaret),who sharedthis lovely card:

And a final big thank you toBugaboo Stampsfor being such generous sponsors throughout the years.8 comments: Friday, 15 December 2017 CHNC challenge extra for December mid-month inspiration

Please visit the team members' blogs and read about their creations. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all the DT members, past and present, for their wonderful creativity and support throughout the time this challenge blog has been running.

We would love you to join in this month's challenge - all you need to do is make a Christmas creation - anything goes as long as it's Christmas! Please clickhereto find out more about the December challenge and to enter your creations or just scroll down. Weregret to say that this monthly challenge blog is closing, so the December 2017 is the last challenge here - you can read more about this by scrolling down to the previous blogpost. No comments: Friday, 1 December 2017 CHNC challenge extra for December 2017
It's always a delight to see the wonderful festive creations that are entered for our challenges and November was no exception - what a bumper lot of entries.

Now that we are beginning December, we need to get those Christmas designs done very soon - I hope you will be able to join in our October challenge. ... it can be any creation as long as it's for Christmas and you can enter as many times as you wish.

Before we go any further, I have some sad news for you. I thought long and hard about this decision, but regret to say that this monthly challenge blog is closing, so the December 2017 is the last challenge here. There are two reasons for this:
Since January this year I've made my weekly Christmas challenges 'anything goes as long as it's Christmas' as well as having a purely optional theme. This means that people can enter the weekly challenge and the monthly extra one with any Christmas creations week in and week out. Until this year, the weekly ones always had a theme, but now that it's 'anything goes' it seems a bit silly to run both the weekly and the monthly now.

The other reason (and perhaps the main one for me) is that I find it very difficult at the moment to keep all the plates spinning, as it were, as John's health problems aren't getting any better, which puts more demands upon me (although I'm not at all complaining about that). I therefore feel that I need to look at what I'm doing and make changes where necessary.

I want to thank everyone who has been involved in making this challenge blog so successful for the past five years, for the DT members, both present and past, thank you them all for their support, their dedication and, of course, for sharing their inspirational festive creativity month by month - it has been a pleasure working with you all. Thank you also toBugaboo Stampswho have generously sponsored every monthly challenge throughout the five years.
And, of course, thank you to all of you who have entered your lovely Christmas crafting month by month, because, without you all, there would have been no challenges.

This last challenge will last for the whole month of December 2017 - anything goes as long as it's Christmas - it doesn't have to be a card, you can link any project as long as it's Christmas!

Once again this year, all of these monthly challenges are being generously sponsored byBugaboo Stamps- a winner will be randomly chosen usingrandom.

Bugaboo Stampsare proud to sponsor this challenge - they are offering four digital stamps to the randomly selected winner.
