When looking for a job, making a strong first impression is critical during the interview process. Unfortunately, many people don’t have the resources or coaching to look their very best. That’s where ClothingWorks comes in.

ClothingWorks uses community support, such as donations of high quality clothing as well as the skills and time of dedicated staff and volunteers, to give job seekers clothing and confidence to make the best possible first impression with prospective employers.

Our History

Established in 1998, ClothingWorks has been a valued resource in the community, assisting over 10,000 individuals. Hosted by Goodwill Industries, Ontario Great Lakes since 2014, ClothingWorks depends on the support of donors, volunteers and community partners.

Meet a Style ConsultantMeet a Style Consultant

At the appointment, the ClothingWorks' style consultant will meet with each individual to discuss clothing needs, perform measurements, and present properly fitted items. The goal is to meet the style needs of the ClothingWorks participant, with our style consultant offering expert advice to boost each individual's presentation and improve job success.

Interview clothing donations are always welcome to provide a constant flow of inventory to meet client needs.

Where to donateDONATE MONEY.

On average, the cost to assist one person with the essential start-up necessities is $90. Personal and corporate monetary donations to ClothingWorks are a great way to give someone a hand up, as opposed to a hand-out (taxable receipt will be issued).

Placing clothing racks and signage at an event or office provides an opportunity for everyone to clean out their closets and support job seekers who need interview clothing.

Clothing Works Partners with Society of Saint Vincent de Paul

June 20, 2021 ClothingWorks is once again supporting St Vincent De Paul with clothing donations and volunteers to help with their 2021 Spring/Summer street outreach to the homeless. Please see attached poster with details.

Clothing Works Partners with Society of Saint Vincent de Paul

January 25, 2021 On November 27, 2020, Clothing Works joined the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul Youth Conference of London for their On the Street event. Carol McIntyre and volunteer Jolyn Showalter of Clothing Works were able to attend, and bring with them 40 bags of clothing ranging from shoes to coats and other essential clothing items needed during the winter months.

The event was a huge success and we thank the Society of Saint Vincent De Paul for organizing including Clothing Works in the event!

Tyner-Shorten Clothiers is a high-end, London-based menswear store, which focuses on “everything between the hat and the shoes.”

Shirley Pierce is the volunteer team lead at ClothingWorks in London, Ontario. She’s a former teacher with a passion for volunteer work, and Shirley has been working with the ClothingWorks program for 5 years. She began by donating to the program, and eventually inquired about becoming a volunteer when ClothingWorks moved to Goodwill.

Donation Drive Tyner-Shorten Clothiers

October 9, 2019

During the month of October, Tyner-Shorten Clothiers will be offering an Old is New Again promotion. They will ask their customers to bring in a cleaned, gently used suit and will provide a discount on a new suit. Tyner-Shorten Clothiers has been running this promotion annually for over 10 years with the goal to provide quality menswear to job seekers in our community.
