CA annual conference 17-20 April 2020 (Swansea University) CANCELLED: Sadly, this year s conference was cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak. For those of you who registered to attend, the Swansea local team will contact you about refunds. Our annual conference will resume in 2021. We hope to announce plans for CA2021 shortly. Free online resources and teaching support: A list of online teaching resources curated by the CA Teaching Board is available here. If you are aware of resources not listed, please let us know. Other resources currently available to help remote learning and home schooling during the lockdown can be found here. CA staff are working partly in theoffice and partly from home:If you have a general query you can contact us via our website, email us at office@classicalassociation.org or call us on 07926 632598. CA printed journals: Our publishing partners, Cambridge University Press, experienced disruption to the global supply chain for manufacture and distribution of printed journals, due to the coronavirus outbreak, and CUP temporarily halted journal printing from 25 March. From July printing will resume, and CUP will be working through their backlog. If you have purchased a CA member journal subscription and not yet received your printed copy you should receive this by the end of the summer. CA member journal subscribers have online access to journal content. If you experience any problems accessing your journal online please let us know by emailing office@classicalassociation.org. For more information and FAQs see here. If you have yet to purchase a 2020 CA journal subscription, you can still do so in our online shop by card. Your online access will still be set up by CUP straight away, with your printed editions sent to follow. Other publications:Stocks of print copies of Omnibus magazines, Presidential Address booklets, and Journal of Classics Teaching are held in our offices at Rickmansworth. Staff are working partly from the office and partly from home, so there may be a delay of a few days before you receive your order, for which we apologise. Omnibus 80, the magazine's 40th anniversary edition, is still on track to publish in the Autumn. CA Branches: Many CA branch events have sadly been cancelled. Branches and their contact details are shown on the Branches page of our website and cancellations have been notified to branch members and via social media. E-news: We will keep our members and our wider community updated through our monthly e-news. If you are not already subscribed, you can join the mailing list at the Subscribe to our e-newsletter tile at the foot of this page. Grants: Grants already awarded for conferences and other activities that have had to be postponed can be rolled forward.
