Top Flite Corporation in Aurora Nebraska, is a founder member of the Lenham Group of companies, and a market leader in the manufacture of continuous cold rolled helicoid flighting.

We specialize exclusively in the development and production of auger flighting and the improvement of auger performance through technical innovation.

We have 14 cold rolling mills within our mid-west family of companies for production of continuous helicoid flighting as well as a variety of other machinery for the production of sectional and edge-wound flighting. This very large capacity enables us to provide extremely fast and flexible response times.

Within the Lenham Group, Top Flite Corporation and Princeton Flighting Corporation manufacture continuous helicoid flighting on Lenham's state-of-the-art cold rolling mills and our warehouses carry over 1,250 different sizes in stock. The unique Lenham flight-forming process is in use in over 25 countries and accounts for most of the world's consumption of cold rolled flighting.

Super-Edge™ Helicoid Flighting

A Guaranteed Minimum 30% (up to 50%) Thicker, Reduced Wear and Increasing Auger Life

The unique features of Super-Edge™ flighting are its extended working life and outstanding performance. Auger wear is concentrated along the outer perimeter of all flighting where conventional cold rolled flighting is thinnest. By contrast, Super-Edge™ provides an increased thickening and reverse taper along the flighting's outer edge which is 30%-50% thicker than conventional helicoid and exceeds the outer edge thickness of any competing product.

Cupped Super-Edge™ Flighting

We manufacture "cupped" flighting in both conventional helicoid and Super-Edge™ flighting with up to 30 degree lean from vertical. This incline helps retain grain within each pitch (closer to the centre shaft) which improves auger output and also helps minimize "fines" degradation.

Conventional Helicoid Flighting

We manufacture highly rigid, wear-resistant flighting using Lenham cold rolling technology which is the world leader in helicoid flighting production. Our Conventional Auger flighting is manufactured on the most advanced machines which produce flighting from prime grade Carbon steel that is tough, has a smooth surface finish which is hardened by cold-rolling to give superlative durability and output. The flighting blade can be vertical to the centre shaft or inclined to varying degrees (cupped). Furthermore our production method ensures total control and dimensional accuracy.

Conventional Cupped Helicoid Flighting

We manufacture "cupped" flighting in conventional helicoid with up to 30 degree lean from vertical. This is preferred when optimizing output in grain carts and for handling seed grains at lower output speeds.

Ribbon Helicoid Flighting

We manufacture conventional "ribbon" flighting which is characterised by having an enlarged inner diameter using narrow raw material. Can be manufactured as a re-enforced edge when welded to Conventional Helicoid Flighting. Available in standard thicknesses of 1/8", 3/16", 1/4" & 5/16".

Stainless Steel Helicoid Flighting

We manufacture high quality conventional flighting from Stainless Steel 304L & 316L grade stainless steel. We hold a stock of standard sizes up to 12" outer diameter and custom roll to customer specifications.

Our continuous Stainless flighting is formed on the most advanced machines and our production method ensures close control of dimensional accuracy. The clean, bright surface finish provides hygienic, anti-corrosive delivery to a wide range of industries.

Stainless flighting has numerous industrial applications particularly in the handling of corrosive materials and within the food processing industry.

Edge-Wound Helicoid Flighting

We manufacture this heavy duty flighting on in-house built machines at our sister company Flight Manufacturing Corporation in Illinois. This flighting is produced by winding over a mandrel such that there is minimal loss of thickness at the outer edge. Particularly suitable for high-wear industrial applications. Available in mild and Stainless steels from coil strip or bar. We produce Edge-Wound flighting in thicknesses from 3/16" to 1" and outside diameters from 1.5" to 20". We maintain extremely close tolerances in both left hand and right hand configuration.

Sectional Flighting

We manufacture Sectional flighting on in-house machinery at our sister company Flight Manufacturing Corporation. Sectional flights are produced by forming metal plate into a Helix with precise outer diameter, inner diameter and pitch. Available in thicknesses ranging from 3/16" to 1" with the flight thickness maintained constant from the inner edge to outer edge. We handle sections with outer diameters ranging from 5" up to 72" and in a variety of prime Carbon, Stainless and abrasion resistant steel grades. We can manufacture with holes, radius cuts, slots, tooth-cut outer- edge etc., as required.

Measuring Flighting

Pitch:
Pitch is the distance between each section measured at the outer edge parallel with the shaft.

Outside Diameter (OD):
This is the vertical distance from upper to lower outer edges of the flighting.

Inside Diameter (ID):
This is the hole size in the flight into which the center tube or shaft fits.

Thickness:
This dimension is measured at the shaft at the thickest part of the flight.

Length:
This is the length per piece.

Quantity:
This is the total number of pieces needed.
