The Current Flows: Water in the Arid West is a solo photographic exhibit— offered in conjunction with the Vital Waters photography exhibition—by outdoor photographer and river lover Colleen J. Miniuk.

Her 16 color photographs celebrate the Colorado River watershed and encourage all viewers to consider your own relationship with the Colorado River and other water sources where you live.

“Such energy and enthusiasm! Colleen Miniuk matches the rapids and flow of wild rivers, a force of nature. As I sat as a participant in Colleen’s pre-dawn workshop in Yosemite in early February 2020, immediately I recognized the talent, with her intimate knowledge and love of the Colorado River and its watershed, that Colleen is the photographer I hoped to find for an essay exhibit about Water in the Arid West. Having an avid river-runner connect us to the water and issues is such a privilege!”
~ From the Foreword by Jeanne Falk Adams in the exhibition catalogue
