About Me

Kristian Kaltenbach aka Sonar loves Vinyl. About 20 years ago he bought his first record. Whether 7, 10 or 12 inch for Sonar is the diversity very important. But most importantly for sonar is the variety of sounds. He plays a unique mix of afro beats, funk, jazz, disco, house and contemporary electronic sounds. Each of his DJ-Sets is different, unusual and individual, but always has one thing in particular: Groove. And his audience loves him for it.

Sonar gehört zu den wenigen DJs, die noch mit Platten auflegen. Ob 7, 10 oder 12inch, Vielfalt ist dem gebürtigen Dresdener sehr wichtig und das nicht nur bei der Selektion seiner Platten. Sonar spielt einen einzigartigen Mix aus Jazz, Funk, Afro-Beats, Disco & House, möchte sich aber auch hier nicht festlegen und erweitert seine Sets gern in Richtung Reggae oder Hip Hop. Jedes seiner Sets ist anders, ungewöhnlich und individuell, aber immer vor allem eins: Groove. Und sein Publikum liebt ihn dafür, ob in Dresden, Berlin oder Wien.
