Since its incorporation in 1993, JAT Holdings PLC has grown in financial strength, corporate reputation and brand recognition reaching many milestones in its journey of becoming the leader in wood coatings in Sri Lanka. In 2015, JAT Holdings PLC was named as one of the Top Strongest Conglomerate Brands in the country through diversification. Furthermore, the company was awarded the title of the Largest Distributor of Sayerlack in the world. Since 2016, the company made it to the Top 100 Most Respected Companies adjudged by LMD for four consecutive years. More recently, JAT Holdings PLC was ranked amongst LMD’s Top 20 Conglomerate Brands in Sri Lanka as stated in Brands Annual 2020, an independent survey conducted by Brand Finance, the World’s largest brand valuation and strategy consultancy firm. The Group’s strategic aspirations are driven by a spirited team of over 400 employees, under the visionary leadership, guidance and direction of the Founder and Managing Director, Aelian Gunawardene.

With the newly built JAT Experience Center within the premises, both employees and customers are able to gain firsthand experience and knowledge on our products and services.

Manufacturing Complex

Situated in Kahathuduwa, the ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007 certified manufacturing facility houses a full-range manufacturing plant for decorative paint and brushes. Including the factory spaces in Katunayake and Horana, the total manufacturing facilities are equipped with technically advanced machinery and adheres to stringent safety procedures.

Sustainability for a Better Tomorrow

Sustainability is at the core of our business strategy, as it enhances long-term stakeholder value incorporating dimensions in the ethical, social, cultural, economic and environmental spheres. The carbon footprint of the company is calculated under the three main scopes which is a first in the local industry. As a company dealing with chemicals regularly, JAT takes added safety measures to mitigate environmental risk, pioneering a ‘Chemical Leasing Business Solution’ consistent with its sustainability strategy. JAT launched ‘Petal Paint, created with the pigments from dried flowers combining cutting-edge manufacturing technology with ancient artistry of Sri Lanka. Launched as a CSR project, the paint is currently used to restore faded murals and to create new murals in temples.

Projects

As one of the top conglomerates, specialised in industrial trading in Sri Lanka, JAT takes pride in being awarded and associated with iconic projects such as the supply and installation of SEA Kitchens for the Altair luxury apartment complex and the supply of Armstrong ceilings for the Defense headquarters complex which is the largest single ceiling order in Sri Lanka. Shangri-La, Luna Towers, The Ritz Carlton and Prime Grand Residencies are some of the prestigious real estate projects that have patronized JAT products. Our dedicated project team including the professional designers, quantity surveyors, project managers and inhouse installation team adheres to high quality standards, whilst paying attention to delivering projects on time.
