2020 Early Entry Boat Draw

(Sign-up for all 5 events due by March 1, 2020)

Early entries will be eligible for the season boat draw to be held on Saturday March 21st, 2020 to be held at Cedar Creek in Onalaska, Wisconsin starting at 12 Noon.  1 Member must be in attendance to be eligible for the early boat draw.  (No Exceptions)  Each tournament will be drawn on an individual basis.  Included in the boat draw there will be a 50/50 raffle ,appetizers and a cash bar.  The 50/50 raffle and Cash Bar Proceeds will go toward the 2020 Purse.  Come Join the fun!

Points will be awarded for each tournament starting with 1st Place receiving 100 points, 2nd 99 points, 3rd 98 points etc. Teams that are either late or do not weigh-in will receive 20 points. The yearly points winner will be awarded a minimum of $500 for the season points championship depending upon sponsorship money. Upon receiving $3,000 in sponsorship monies the 6 top point leaders will be awarded the following monies. All ties will be broken by total weight.

1. RULES: The following rules for this tournament will be used. These rules will be interpreted by the Tournament Officials and all decisions are final. Any violation of these rules, Department of Conservation or State Water patrol regulations shall be reason for disqualification and possibly from all future events. Failure to read these rules is no excuse. Knowledge of all BITES 95 rules is your responsibility. By signing this entry form we hereby waive our legal venue and agree with all BITES 95 decisions.2. ELIGIBILITY: All individuals, 18 years of age or older unless participating with a parent or guardian, and who have paid the proper entry fees. Entry form must be completely filled out and signed by both contestants. Membership is required to fish BITES 95. Anyone fishing without a membership will be reason for both partners to be disqualified. We reserve the right not to accept any entries we feel are not in the best interest of the tournament culture of BITES 95.3. ENTRY FEES: Team events are $200 per boat. Entries will be accepted by mail up to Monday before tournament with no late fee. Any entries received after that or at landing will be charged an additional $75 fee for entry. Credit cards may be accepted by phone with an additional 7% fee.4. TOURNAMENT HOURS & POOLS: All boats must check in by 5:00 am for all day tournaments. Hours will be announced in the morning. We reserve the right to assign flights, change hours and tournament dates if necessary.5. TAKE-OFF: Will be in order in which entries are received. The take-off site area will be the official check-out and check-in area.6. TEAM: Teams consist of two members who fish together. If 1 member cannot fish the other team member may use an alternate or fish by themselves. Points will be awarded to the original team.7. Tackle & Equipment: Only artificial lures or baits may be used. All bass must be caught alive on a rod and reel during the tournament hours from a boat in a sporting manner. No Trolling.8. BOATS & MOTORS: Boats 15 feet or longer, with properly working live wells and kill switch. No Air or Duck Boats allowed. No Overpowered boats allowed. All boats must meet B.I.A., U.S. Coast Guard and State Water Regulations.9. SAFETY & SPORTSMANSHIP: Safe boating and fishing practices, must be observed at all times. Life jackets MUST BE WORN anytime the combustion motor is running. Kill switches MUST BE ATTACHED to driver anytime the combustion motor is running. Each contestant is expected to followhigh standards of sportsmanship, courtesy, safety and conservation. No alcoholic beverages, stimulants or depressants allowed in boats. No hole sitting or holding a fishing spot for another fishermen or contestants. Contestants must stay 50 yards of each other while fishing.10. LOCK PROCEDURE: First in first out procedure. The first boat that reaches the lock will enter the lock first and leave the lock first. The same procedure will be used for 2, 3, 4 etc. Failure to follow thisprocedure could result in disqualification.11. PERMITTED FISHING LOCATIONS: Anywhere on the tournament water except; (1) within 50 yards of another contestants boat; (2) the take-off area inside the announced location at meeting; (3) outside of a contestants boat and no contestants shall leave the boat to land a fish.; (4) No boat may be trailored during the competition. Any rule changes at tournament site will override any written rule.12. SCORING: Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass will be weighed. Only 5 fish per boat may be weighed-in. All fish will be measured on a flat metal keeper board. All fish will be measured with mouth closed and with a pinched or fanned tail. Any short fish presented will cause loss of that fish plus an additional 2 pound penalty. Dead fish will receive a 1 pound penalty per fish and may not be used for a big fish prize. Maximum of 2 dead fish per boat allowed.13. WEIGH-IN: Will begin at the end of tournament hours and announcement is made that scales are open. Weigh-in will conclude 1/2 hour after start of weigh-in or as announced during that day.14. PROTESTS: Must be filed in writing with-in 10 minutes of scales being closed. The Tournament Chairman will handle all protests in a timely manner and the decision made will be final.15. TIES: In the event of a tie, it will be broken by who had the lower boat number.16. LATE: Late is Late and Late boats will be disqualified.17. CANCELLATION: If cancelled due to reason of safety, high water, etc., entry fees will be transferred. NO REFUNDS.18. Maximum Boat Entries: No more than 60 boats will be allowed in any tournament.

TEAM

A Team consists of two members who fish together.  The Team is identified by the two members at the beginning of the season that are identified on the entry and have paid 2020 dues.

Qualification Process 2020 Bites “95” Championship

A Team must fish 5 Division Tournaments.  La Crosse Division or Blackhawk Division. A Team may have 1 substitute during the 5 tournament season.  If a Team Member is not available to fish a Team Member may fish alone. Points will be awarded for each tournament.  100 points for 1st, 99 points for 2nd etc.  You must weigh-in each tournament to receive points unless you are late and the team will receive 20 points. The top 60 boats will be eligible for the Bites “95” Championship. The top 30 boats (points) from the La Crosse Division and the top 30 boats (points) from the Blackhawk Division. Any Team that fished in 5 events in combination from the La Crosse Division or the Blackhawk Division will also qualify to fish in the Bites “95” Championship.  However, the top 30 boats (points) from each division will take precedence.Deadline for entry for all boats will be Wednesday September 30th, 2020 A Boater may fish with a different partner for every tournament.  However, as the rules states above, only 1 substitute is allowed during the 5 tournament season to qualify for the Championship.  In the spirit of the “Bites” series a “TEAM” is two members that fish together the entire season.  A “TEAM” is not a boater combined with 2, 3, 4, or 5 different partners.  The partner that you sign-up with at the beginning of the year on the official Bites “95” entry blank is your partner.  (NO EXCEPTIONS)  This is a series that is an invitational series and (Jack Potters) are not welcome.Rules
