Attention: After more than ten years, I ve decided to retire this blog. I will no longer be adding posts, except on special occasions. The murder took place on April 11, 1987, outside L Amour east nightclub, in Queens, New York. His body was discovered near a garbage dumpster in the early mornings hours. His case remains unsolved and his godfather has started a gofundme campaign in order to hire a private investigator. No CommentsTags: Uncategorized They were down to eleven, and for a while the next largest squad, the LAPD s Cold Case Homicide Unit, had overtaken them. But the NYPD s Cold Case Unit now has twenty detectives, one lieutenant, and two sergeants (the LAPD has ten detectives and one lieutenant).This must be due in part to Police Commissioner William Bratton, and the squad s current commanding officer, Lieutenant Commander James West.
