The beauty of the Catholic Mass has always been a source of inspiration to me. Rather than sitting in a pew and listening to an hour-long sermon, there is something much more spiritual and uplifting while participating in the Liturgy, being a part of it and the celebrant offering up our prayers and worship to God. Besides the beauty and tradition, there is a peaceful grace that can be felt, both during and after Liturgy. To become one in prayer, meditation, and devotion with the celebrant and congregation gives us the ability to spread the love and devotion to others. Unlike other churches I’ve been in, I feel as if I’m a part of something bigger, uplifting and inspiring. We are Liberal Catholics because though we maintain the Catholic sacraments in apostolic tradition, we are also free to think and decide for ourselves, instead of following mandated church dogma.
