The University of Alabama is closely monitoring the global coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. We have created a prospective student help page with information on several topics. To play our part in social distancing and other preventive health strategies, we regret that on-campus events are cancelled at this time.1. At this time we are not able to hold campus visits. Virtual tours, phone calls, and other alternative means are available.2. Bama Bound Orientation is still scheduled, but after careful consideration the University has elected to hold Bama Bound orientation online through a virtual format this year. The University of Alabama offers some of the most generous scholarship opportunities in the country for qualifying students. Students admitted by December 15 have the opportunity to qualify for university merit-based and competitive scholarships in addition to external scholarships awarded.To select scholarship recipients, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, the National Alumni Association, and The University of Alabama’s Undergraduate Colleges and Schools use the scholarship application on mybama.ua.edu to award competitive scholarships to freshman, transfer, and currently enrolled students. Student Financial Aid will use this information for non-need-based scholarships as well.The process for applying for scholarships varies based on whether you are an entering freshman, transfer, or currently enrolled student.
