August 1, 2020 NAQT Rules Changes for 2020-2021NAQT has made a number of changes to its rules and policies for the 2020–2021 season. Highlights:Bonus questions are now paired with tossup questions.In the Middle School Eligibility Rules and High School Eligibility Rules, we added extensive rules regarding online schools and homeschools, and clarified the effect of non-online schools implementing online instruction temporarily.Matches at the Community College Championship Tournament will now use 11-minute halves. July 28, 2020 Division II Eligibility and the 2020 ICTNAQT would like to let the community know about the status of Division II eligibility with respect to the cancellation of the 2020 Intercollegiate Championship Tournament. We've decided that players on Sectionals teams for four-year schools that earned invitations to the 2020 ICT (in either division) will not retain Division II eligibility for the 2020-2021 competition year or beyond. Please note that players from SCT host schools who did not play the 2020 SCT, but whose schools earned automatic bids to the 2020 ICT, retain Division II eligibility for future competition years if they already had it. February 29, 2020 Valencia A Wins the 2020 Community College Championship TournamentValencia College A (Orlando, FL) won the 2020 NAQT Community College Championship Tournament by defeating Chipola College A (Marianna, FL) 260-210 in the first game of an advantaged final. Johnson County Community College (Overland Park, KS) placed third; Lake Land College (Mattoon, IL) finished fourth.
