Mlm companies can go by many names.  Can you guess all the names that refer to it?  It’s a lot.

Here are a few:

Why are there so many names for multi level marketing by all these companies?

My thoughts?  They are all trying to “brand” the word.  You know..We are different because we offer the exclusive “Inline Marketing” opportunity.

Mlm would be way too “normal”.

So now that you have the scoop on what I think the reason is for so many names for mlms (or whatever you want to call them), let’s find out how you even go about choosing the right mlm company in the first place.

If you are determined to choose a mlm for your internet network marketing opportunity, it is likely at some point you have already been frustrated.

With so many mlm opportunities out there and way too many good and bad reviews, how in the world do you ever pick the mlm  that is right for you?

My first recommendation is to pick that one that “calls to you” first.

And no, I’m not saying that you need to go visit some witch doctor or ask for the blessing of a tribal guru.

All I’m saying is, choose the company you feel comfortable with.  BUT don’t join just yet.

You need to make sure that the mlm company compensation plan is something that you can work with and one that makes sense.

Then, you need to make sure you actually like the product.

If you are looking into mlm just for the money, my advice is to find another way to make money. You will be like the cheerleader who is cheering for the Steelers when all her life she was a Broncos fan.   See what I’m saying?

You’ve got to be genuine because people will see straight through you.

Make sure you develop clear rules that you will follow.

For instance, is this a mlm company you will be proud to tell others about or is it something you’re going to keep hidden in the closet?

If you’re not comfortable telling your friends and families that you sell vibrators for a living, then you definitely do not want to pick Pure Romance for your business opportunity.   See what I’m saying?

One of the worst things you can do, once you do join that mlm is bug your friends and family.  There is nothing worse than the desperate pleas of a mlm distributor continually harking you to buy more or to “help them out” so they can win a pin or some stupid trinket.  JUST DON’T DO IT.

No one likes likes desperate.

Now, if you are genuinely excited about your mlm products and you see them helping others, then by all means, share that excitement.

People love enthusiasm. (Way different from desperation)

One of the best was to show your family and friends that you have a great business opportunity is to just share the success that people are getting.

Whether it’s you or your downline or upline mates, it’s ok to share (every once in a while) of how proud and excited you are for one of your new “family members”.

Curiosity drives the cat.   People will start to approach you after a while.

Another tid bit of advice?

MLM takes times.   You’re not going to build a massive downline in 2 days. Make sure the company you join is one that you intend to stay with for the long haul.

The products that you are going to sell in your MLM Company are very important. Of course you want to make money with them, but make sure the product is actually something you are going to use for yourself.  Is this a product that you would share with others?  Are the products consumable and something they will want to reorder?

If you look at the MLM opportunity and you don’t care for the product, you are barking up the wrong tree.  You have to defend your status as to why you support the product.  It doesn’t matter how much money the product can make you if you can’t stand behind it.

With so many mlm companies, it can be hard to decide which one you want to join.  Do you want one that requires you to sell products or one that you can profit from by selling all digital products?

Unfortunately, MLM scams exist (aka MLM Pyramid Schemes).  There are tons of mlms that don’t’ fall into this category, but there are some very good looking ones that are in scamorama territory.  Pyramid schemes can destroy your reputation and cost you a ton of money.

So how do you avoid MLM scams?

You have to make sure that you do your research.  Look for companies with strong histories, good reputations (look at product and distributor reviews) and have been around. You can also check out their compensation plans.  MLM compensation plans are often the things that cause the fall of the scammer mlm companies.  The general rule is that you can’t make more money from building a downline than the product itself.  The emphasis should be on selling the product.

Just be care that you stay away from mlm scams. Pyramid schemes are just a dirty little part of the MLM industry.   If you do your homework and due diligence, you should be able to avoid these mlm scams.

This is probably the best advice I have seen out there. Hire an accountant if you choose to build based on a MLM plan.

You’ll be buying digital products, hiring writers and purchasing product…..among other things. Hiring an accountant can help you make sure that you keep your records straight and know how to control your taxes.   If you are bringing in enough, you will likely have to start creating more frequent reports (quarterly vs. yearly tax statements).

MLM Companies Are Hand ON

Bringing people into your MLM business is going to be a necessary part of your MLM company opportunity.

You can’t just have them join and hope they find their way.

The most successful network marketers out there are committed to training their downline members and you should not be any different. Training new members will ultimately help you and them.

Multi-Level marketing can be very enjoyable, however, you have to remember that Rome was not built in a day. Hopefully these MLM tips will help you to your success.

Personally, I left two MLM companies because I didn’t like the recruiting part, didn’t get much support from my upline and just got sick of the whole MLM setup.

I found something way better and something that I am able to make money with every day.
