Citadel has a small team of practitioners who have particular expertise in the law relating to firearms.Not only do they have considerable specialist experience and knowledge in the licensing and regulation of firearms but they also have both practical experience and technical understanding of the use and workings of firearms. Our members have a wealth of experience in cases involving allegations of sexual offences or pornography offences, in all Courts, at all levels – from vulnerable defendants appearing in the Youth Court, to the most grave multiple complainant or multiple defendant cases involving people trafficking, familial or institutional abuse. Our members have extensive experience and provide a comprehensive service in all aspects of road traffic law. They regularly appear in the Magistrates and Crown Courts and at appellate level, instructed in cases in this complex and technical field. Members of the group are experienced in representing clients from a wide range of countries and cultures, from advising on initial applications to representation in both tiers of the Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) and the administrative and appellate courts, including matters involving the impact of European Law. Our members are both experienced in operating before service courts, and have an understanding of the unique demands and pressures of life in the services. The Citadel team of inquest barristers provide legal advice and representation to any family, individual or organisation who have any degree of involvement or interest in an inquest in the Coroner’s Court. Members also accept instructions to represent individuals, companies or other organisations involved in any Public Inquiry.
