Immigration Workshops Info Sessions The Centre for International Experience holds regular workshops and information sessions to help you understand your immigration responsibilities. CIE Annual Photo Contest The annual “What’s Your Story?” photography contest documents the visual experiences of exchange and international students. CIE Student Advisory Committee The CIE Student Advisory Committee provides feedback and recommendations regarding services and programming currently offered by the Centre for International Experience. English Conversation Communities for Grads The English Conversation Communities for Grads (ECCG) program is no longer offered as of fall 2020, but we are still here to support you! Intercultural Learning Program The Intercultural Learning Program is a way to build your intercultural skills at home or abroad. International Language Exchange Bonjour U of T! Scholarships The Centre for International Experience co-ordinates a variety of scholarships to financially support U of T students seeking to study abroad. iConnect Mentorship Program iConnect is no longer offered as of fall 2020. Grad Step Up Grad Step Up is an extended orientation program designed to support the transition of incoming international graduate students by connecting them to key information, resources and communities at U of T. ADVISING: Immigration Our immigration advisor is here to help you sort through processes and paperwork. Pre-arrival welcome services for international students The Centre for International Experience co-ordinates a variety of pre-arrival, welcome and orientation events and services to support you as you transition into U of T. Income tax information sessions If you are an international student studying in Canada, you may have to file a Canadian income tax return. Safety Abroad U of T Safety Abroad supports the University community in managing risks pertaining to student travel internationally and offers support to students while they are abroad. Social Insurance Number clinics A Social Insurance Number (SIN) is a 9 digit number that you need in order to work in Canada or to have access to government programs and benefits.
