Do you take reservations? No, we do not take reservations. Can I order a whole cheesecake? Yes! You do not need to order in advance. Just ask at the counter. 7pm - 1am only. See our menu for prices. How big is it? How many slices? Our cheesecake is about 8” in diameter. That makes about 8 slices. Do you have a gluten-free cheesecake? Since we do not make a crust this means that none of our cheesecakes contain gluten. Can you write on the whole cakes? No. Do you bake the cheesecakes yourself? Yes. We bake all of our cheesecakes here on our own premises. Are you open on holidays? Yes! We are open every night of the year except December 25th. Do you have other locations? No. We are the only and original - in this location since 1979. Do you have live music? Check our Instagram for events.

Paris, 1959: Smoke–filled cafés ignite in an exciting new music scene, pouring jazz out into every street. Mike Sims’ musical journey begins as he hones his craft in the lounges and cabarets of the era. For the next 20 years, Mike and his wife Edith will play to audiences around the world, first traveling with the U.S.O. to entertain the troops and then onto the jazz clubs of America.

Vancouver, 1979: Mike and Edith take everything they love about the best jazz joints of the world and create a unique café on the west coast for jazz...and cheesecake. The secret family recipe has its roots in dinner parties of past decades, where the Sims’ homemade cheesecakes garnered their earliest praise.

Today: Mike and Edith’s passion continues to thrive at Cheesecake Etc., where the Sims family and staff carry on the traditions that began decades ago, welcoming guests from all over the world with their original secret recipe cheesecake.
